Overview
Removes instruments from lectures, Reels and everyday videos as they play, on your device. The core feature needs no account.
Sakinah is for people who avoid musical instruments in everyday content: lectures and talks, Reels and Shorts, kids' videos and the news. It removes instruments from a video's sound while it plays in your browser, so you can watch what you need without background music. - One big switch, «Remove instruments», for the site you are on, with "Always on this site". - Two modes: "Remove music" (voices and everyday sounds stay) and "Voice only" (only speech stays). - Works on YouTube (including Shorts and embedded players) and Instagram; add any other site in Settings. - A small button inside the video player turns it on or off without opening the popup. - Entirely on your device: no audio is sent anywhere, no tracking, no ads. The core feature needs no account. - While a page in the browser records or shares the screen, Sakinah pauses and the original sound plays. - Arabic and English interface, light and dark. Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+M. Limits: protected (DRM) video cannot be processed by any extension. Some players need "Tab capture" (Chrome).
