TextTweak
Overview
Temporarily edit webpage text, with original and saved drafts.
Try a different headline, refine a sentence, or preview new wording directly on a webpage without opening developer tools. TextTweak lets you temporarily edit webpage text in three simple steps: 1. Right-click the text and choose Edit. 2. Type your changes directly on the page. 3. Click Save in the floating controls. COMPARE ORIGINAL AND EDITED TEXT After saving, right-click the same text and choose Edit again. Use Toggle to switch between the original and edited versions. Your unsaved drafts stay available while you compare wording, so you can save the version you prefer. SIMPLE, TEMPORARY EDITING • Edit text directly where it appears. • Use floating Save and Toggle controls near your text. • Undo and redo changes within the current draft. • Refresh the page to discard your changes. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Editing happens locally in your browser, with temporary versions kept in the page’s memory. No content is sent to the developer, and there are no analytics or tracking services. Website scripts can still observe changes made to their pages. PLEASE NOTE Save keeps a temporary version on the current page. It does not publish changes to the website or save a file. Website updates may overwrite edits. Existing form fields, browser-internal pages, extension stores, PDF viewers and some web components are unsupported. No account is required. After installing, refresh open webpages before using TextTweak.
