)Overview
Hide distracting UI elements on Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. Control what to show and hide from the popup.
Most of us don't need to quit social media. We need to quit the parts that waste our time. FocusShield lets you hide the specific elements that pull you off track — the recommendation sidebar, the Shorts shelf, the endless Reels row — while keeping everything you actually came for. No site blocking. No nuclear options. Just a cleaner, quieter web. WORKS ON THE SITES YOU ACTUALLY USE YouTube Hide recommendations, Shorts, trending sidebar, comments Reddit Hide promoted posts, trending communities, suggested content Instagram Hide Reels, Explore, Stories bar, suggested accounts Facebook Hide News Feed, Stories, right-column ads, Reels BUILT FOR HOW REAL PEOPLE WORK Toggle individual sections on or off. Set a schedule so blocking kicks in automatically during your work hours. Save profiles for different modes — one for deep work, one for evenings. Use the element picker to block anything that isn't covered out of the box. Everything is keyboard-accessible. Alt+Shift+D toggles blocking on any tab. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR MACHINE FocusShield has no servers, no accounts, no analytics. Settings live in your browser's local storage and go nowhere. The extension cannot read your browsing history, your messages, or anything outside the four supported sites. FREE AND OPEN SOURCE The full source code is on GitHub. If something doesn't work the way you expect, open an issue. If you want to add a site or fix a bug, pull requests are welcome.
