DiskLink
Overview
Let approved websites read and write files in a folder you choose on your computer. You approve each site and pick its folder.
DiskLink lets a website read and save files directly in a folder on your computer - but only after you explicitly approve that site and pick its folder. Browsers deliberately can't touch your local files. DiskLink bridges that gap safely, so web apps (editors, backup tools, note apps, dev tools) can open and save real files instead of forcing downloads and re-uploads. How it works: - Install this extension plus the small DiskLink agent (one download, no admin). - When a site asks for access, DiskLink shows a dialog. You choose the folder(s) and whether the site gets read-only or read-and-write. - The site can then work only inside the folders you granted it. Every request is re-checked on your computer. You stay in control: - Approve each site individually - nothing happens until you say yes. - Give each site its own folder(s); one site can never see another's. - Read-only or read-and-write, per site. - Review, change, pause, or revoke any site anytime from the DiskLink icon. Privacy: DiskLink has no servers and collects nothing. File contents move directly between the approved site and your disk. System folders are always blocked. DiskLink is free.
