Discount Debunker blacks it out — like a marker on a classified document — so you see the price you'll actually pay, not the fiction it's compared to. Online shops run the same trick everywhere: invent a high "reference price", strike it through, and call the gap a discount. It works on you even when you know it's fake — that's how anchoring works. So this extension doesn't argue with the lie. It redacts it.
