Discord Mic

Send voice notes from Discord on your PC. Click the mic to record, click again to send.

Click the mic to record. Click again to send. That's it. Discord lets you send voice messages from your phone, but not from your PC. I looked for a way to do it for a long time. Every time I wanted to send a voice note, I had to stop what I was doing and pick up my phone. The options I found were either complicated to set up or packed with features I didn't need. Vencord has a good version of this, but you have to install a whole client mod with extra setup steps and a lot more features. I just wanted one button. So I made Discord Mic. HOW IT WORKS - A mic button appears next to the message box on discord.com - Click it to start recording - Click it again and your voice note is sent to the chat you have open - Press Esc to cancel FEATURES - One click to record, one click to send - Optional "Listen before sending" mode to preview, redo, or discard (off by default) - Choose which microphone to use - Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+R (you can change it) - Small OGG/Opus audio files that play right in the chat - Works in servers and DMs PRIVACY Your recording never leaves your computer except when it's sent to the Discord chat you chose. No accounts, no tracking, no servers. The extension only runs on discord.com. NOTE Voice notes are sent as audio files that play inline in the chat. They don't use Discord's mobile waveform bubble, because that would require using your account token, which breaks Discord's rules.
