Discord Chat Exporter
Overview
Save a Discord conversation as a readable HTML, Markdown, or JSON file.
Save a Discord conversation as a readable local archive. Open a channel or direct message on discord.com, click the extension icon, choose a format and optional date range, and export. HTML creates a self-contained, printable transcript with authors, timestamps, replies, reactions, embed text, and attachment links. Markdown saves a plain-text archive. JSON preserves original Discord message data. Choose optional start and end dates, or leave both empty for the full accessible conversation. Cancel an export without saving a partial archive. Messages are processed in your browser and the resulting file is saved on your device. The extension uses your existing Discord session to request messages directly from Discord. It has no exporter backend, analytics, or subscription, and does not persist session credentials. Attachments are linked rather than bundled; their links may expire. Very large conversations are collected in memory before saving. Discord changes may require reloading the page or an extension update. Only export conversations you are allowed to access and respect other participants' privacy. This independent extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.
