Disable JavaScript — Per-Site Toggle & Switch | JS Switch
Overview
Turn JavaScript on or off per site in one click. Remembers each site. Safe reset built in. For testing, speed and SEO.
Disable JavaScript on any site in one click, and turn it back on just as fast. JS Switch is a per-site JS toggle and JavaScript switcher: toggle JavaScript for one site, and it remembers every site, tells you when something else is overriding it, and puts JavaScript back everywhere with one click. 😤 The problem The best-known JavaScript switchers stopped remembering sites, switch JavaScript off everywhere at once, or quietly leave sites broken. Chrome's own setting works, but it is four clicks deep and you have to type the address. ✅ What JS Switch does • Block JavaScript or enable JavaScript per site: one click on the toolbar button, or Alt+Shift+J • Every site is remembered, and only that site changes: block example.com and every other site keeps running normally • The popup says it in plain words: "JavaScript is blocked on example.com", with one button, "Allow JavaScript here". No double negatives • Turn off JavaScript everywhere instead, and allow only the sites you choose • Preview without JavaScript: see a page the way crawlers that don't run JavaScript see it, until you close the tab 🛟 Built to never strand you • Allow everywhere: one click removes every rule and checks that JavaScript runs again • Conflict detection: after every switch, JS Switch asks Chrome what really happens. If another extension or a policy overrides it, it says so instead of pretending • Your list is the source of truth and Chrome's setting is rebuilt from it at every start, so rules can't pile up or go haywire 🧪 Who uses it • Web developers testing a page with JavaScript disabled • SEO and AI-visibility work: see what crawlers that don't run JavaScript see • Pages that are slow or bloated, scroll locks, and overlays that cover the page ⚙️ Your sites Search, switch and delete sites in Settings, import and export the list as a file, and optionally show an OFF badge on the toolbar icon. 🔐 About Chrome's permission warning Chrome warns that JS Switch can "change your settings that control websites' access to features such as cookies, JavaScript, plugins, geolocation, microphone, camera etc." That is Chrome's fixed sentence for every extension that changes any site setting. JS Switch only ever changes the JavaScript setting, only for sites you choose. 🌍 Available in 51 languages. 💛 Free No account, no ads. JS Switch is made by one independent developer and supported by optional tips on Ko-fi. 🔒 Privacy No network requests, no analytics, no accounts. JS Switch works offline and never reads page contents. Your site list stays in your browser. Getting JavaScript back without the extension: open chrome://settings/content/javascript and choose "Sites can use JavaScript". Removing JS Switch also removes its rules.
