In addition to removing the HTML autoplay attribute from media elements, Disable HTML5 Autoplay also hooks into the media's JavaScript API. This allows for restrictions on media control and simulation of expected behavior to ensure that all pages behave normally. This extension has been working amazingly, always! I'm only uninstalling now as it is obsolete, and has been replaced by a new version, which I have now installed. The new version is called Disable HTML5 Autoplay (Reloaded): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/disable-html5-autoplay-re/cafckninonjkogajnihihlnnimmkndgf
