Disable Download Bar

As of September 1st 2024, This is one of the best QoL extension for google chrome I ever met

Finally someone using their brain and making this extension to correct the massive design flaw of the updated, nearly useless google rainbow shapes pictograph interface. Yes, one can go into chrome/flags and disable the bar, but after a new annoying useless chrome update, it is back. This actually works, finally!

How can Google be SO stupid and obviously not use their own product? After 2 downloads the official downloads complete bar BLOCKS the GUI. Immensely stupid IMHO! Why do we need an extension to fix an obvious design mega flaw. Fortunately this extension manages to stop this irritating, pointless, completely idiotic, behaviour.

Thank you! Wish I would've thought to use an extension earlier, because it was like two months of constantly deleting download history to appease my OCD desire to keep my extensions in the same spot on the bar. I do advise though if anyone want to keep the download shelf visible *only while a file is downloading*, download the 'AutoHideDownloadsBar' extension.

doesn't do anything, even with restarting computer/Chrome entirely :(
