**Dinosaurs** were ancient reptiles that lived from the Triassic to the Cretaceous period, over 160 million years ago. They came in various shapes and sizes, from small to gigantic, and were both herbivores and carnivores. Most went extinct about 66 million years ago, but their descendants, birds, still roam the Earth today.
