Popmelon brings your people together for a shared movie night or listening party. MEET FIRST, CHOOSE LATER Start a party without playing a video. Share one party invitation and meet in the party room. Choose YouTube, Netflix or Spotify to open a new party tab in one click. The same room and chat stay with you as the host changes videos, songs or supported services. WATCH AND LISTEN IN SYNC The host chooses and controls playback. Participants follow and catch up after their own loading, buffering or ads. Everyone streams through their own account and needs access to the chosen content. Autoplay, ads, subscriptions and regional restrictions still apply. A new synced tab begins syncing when you play on a supported service; arbitrary websites are not automatically mirrored. PASS THE REMOTE The host can assign another member as host. Participants can request control, but the current host must approve it. Your party and chat stay together. CHAT, REACT AND CALL Use text chat, emoji reactions, optional voice chat and camera tiles on supported watch/listen pages. Microphone and camera start off. Calls may reconnect during full-page navigation. OPTIONAL SCREEN SHARING In the party room, the host can choose Screen Share and pick a tab, window or screen in Chrome's own picker; sound is included when available and selected. Or, on the tab you want to share, click Popmelon and choose Share this tab + audio; Chrome asks for optional capture permission the first time. You can decline either and still watch together and chat. Only what you pick is shared; your microphone and camera are not included. Stop sharing from the room, the popup or Chrome's sharing bar. Protected/DRM video may appear black; Popmelon does not bypass DRM. YOUR PARTY STAYS IN YOUR CONTROL Disconnect your selected tab, stop following, or leave whenever you want. When the host closes their selected watch tab, Popmelon closes only participant watch tabs it created and still manages, not unrelated personal tabs. Downloaded extension updates wait until the party ends. Check your version and update status in the popup or party room. No paid Popmelon subscription is required. Google sign-in is optional.
