Your browser never forgets. Your data never leaves your computer. Chrome's history gives you a list of URLs. Digital Memory gives you the thing you were actually looking for — the page, the PDF, the note, the paragraph you copied three weeks ago — and it does it without a single byte leaving your machine. There is no account, no sync, no server, and no analytics. There is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing collecting. ── WHAT IT DOES ── SEARCH THAT ACTUALLY FINDS THINGS One search box across everything you have saved: page text, PDF contents, bookmarks, downloads, notes and clipboard history. Ranked by relevance, not by date. Typo-tolerant, so "recieved invoice" still finds the invoice. Matches are highlighted where they occur. Results appear as you type, in well under 50ms, on a database of a hundred thousand records. A TIMELINE YOU CAN READ Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Month — grouped by hour, by site, or by category, so you can find the afternoon rather than the URL. "That thing I was reading before lunch on Tuesday" is a real way to search. PDFS, INDEXED PROPERLY Open a PDF and its text becomes searchable, page by page, so a hit tells you it was on page 12 of 40. Works on PDFs from the web and on PDFs saved on your own computer. The text is extracted locally by pdf.js — the file is never uploaded anywhere. BOOKMARKS AND DOWNLOADS, MADE SEARCHABLE Your existing bookmarks and download history, imported once and then kept in step. Filter by folder, tag, file type or date. Find the installer you downloaded last month by what it was, not by remembering its filename. NOTES ATTACHED TO PAGES Write a note and it stays attached to the page you wrote it on. Markdown, colours, pinning, and full-text search across all of them. CLIPBOARD HISTORY THAT REMEMBERS THE SOURCE Every snippet you copy is kept along with the page it came from, so you can find it again by where you were. Pin what matters, and let the rest age out automatically. Password, OTP and card fields are refused outright — those are never recorded. AUTOMATIC CATEGORIES Sites are sorted into Development, Shopping, AI, Finance, Education, News, Productivity, Entertainment, Travel, Government, Healthcare, Email and Social — by rules you can read and change, not by a model you cannot inspect. INSIGHTS Daily, weekly and monthly views of where your time went: top domains, top categories, reading hours, and what you saved. Statistics computed on your device, for you, shown to nobody. ── PRIVACY, STATED PLAINLY ── • Zero cloud. No server exists to send anything to. • Zero telemetry. Zero analytics. Zero tracking. No crash reporting. • Zero accounts. Nothing to sign up for. • No AI APIs. Categorisation is rule-based and local. • Everything is stored in your browser's own IndexedDB, on your disk. • Uninstall and it is gone. Export it first if you want to keep it. There is a Privacy panel built into the extension that shows the live count of outbound network requests. It reads zero, and the build is checked automatically to keep it that way: the service worker and the page script are scanned at build time for network APIs, and the build fails if one appears. The single exception is disclosed and off by default. Reading a PDF's text means reading the PDF — so if you turn on PDF indexing, the extension reads files you have already opened yourself. Nothing is uploaded; the bytes go straight into the local text extractor. ── YOURS TO TAKE ── Export the whole database as JSON, CSV or Markdown, whenever you like. Import it back, on any machine. There is no lock-in, because there is nowhere to be locked in to. ── DESIGNED TO BE LIVED IN ── One calm dark theme in grey and blue, with colour used only where it carries meaning. Keyboard-first: Ctrl+Shift+K opens search from anywhere. Virtual scrolling and lazy loading keep it quick with a hundred thousand records behind it. Indexing PDFs stored on your own computer additionally needs "Allow access to file URLs" on this extension's card — Chrome only lets you grant that yourself, and the extension cannot ask for it on your behalf.
