RMP Lookup for Binghamton

See RateMyProfessors ratings next to instructor names in Binghamton's Banner registration and College Scheduler.

Picking classes at Binghamton? See every professor's RateMyProfessors rating right inside Banner registration and College Scheduler, without opening a dozen tabs. HOW IT WORKS • Search for classes in Banner (Browse Classes or Register for Classes) or pick sections in College Scheduler as usual. • A color-coded rating chip appears next to every instructor's name: green for 4+, yellow for 3+, red below 3. • Click a name or its chip to see a card with: – Overall rating out of 5 – Difficulty – Would-take-again percentage – Number of ratings and department – A link to the professor's full RateMyProfessors page – The professor's email, on Banner (still one click away) BETTER OPTION FOR THIS CLASS Hover over a rating and it tells you if a higher-rated professor is teaching another section of the same class, e.g. "↑ Higher rated for this class: Patrick Madden ★4.2 (64 ratings)". The card shows it too, with a link. Professors need at least 3 ratings to be suggested, so one glowing review doesn't outrank a long track record. SMART MATCHING Registration lists names as "Last, First M." and RateMyProfessors often uses nicknames, so the extension matches carefully: "Michael" finds "Mike", hyphenated and two-part last names work, and it won't show a different professor who just shares a last name. When it isn't sure, it says so and shows the possible matches instead of guessing. ALSO • Professors with no ratings show "new"; professors not on RateMyProfessors show "–". • Highlight any name and right-click → "Look up on RateMyProfessors". • Ratings load only as you scroll, and each professor is looked up once. PRIVACY The extension collects no personal data. It only runs on Binghamton's registration sites (ssb.cc.binghamton.edu and binghamton.collegescheduler.com) and only sends instructor names to RateMyProfessors to fetch public ratings. No tracking, no analytics, no ads. Independent student project. Not affiliated with Binghamton University, Ellucian, College Scheduler, or RateMyProfessors.
