Overview

Open any listing, gallery or archive as a wall in your browser or your headset.

# Chrome Web Store listing: Diazoma Category: Productivity (alternative: Photos). Language: English. Version 0.1.0. ## Name Diazoma ## Short description (132 characters or fewer) Open a listing, gallery or archive as a curved wall of pictures, in your browser or, where WebXR works, in a headset. (Character count: 117.) ## Detailed description Diazoma shows the pictures of a website as a curved wall you can look around, search and open. Click the toolbar button on a page. Diazoma tells you what it found and how it will build the wall: - Level 3: the site has its own Diazoma wall. The button takes you there. Nothing is added to the page. - Level 2: the site publishes a manifest at /.well-known/wall.json, or links to one. Diazoma reads that list and opens the wall over the page. - Level 0: a recipe covers the site. A recipe is a small signed description of where a site keeps its items. The wall opens in its own tab. The core list covers Wikimedia Commons, NASA Images, the Cleveland Museum of Art, iNaturalist and Wellcome Collection, and the list is updated without a new version of the extension. - Level 1: the page itself has a list of pictures and links. Diazoma reads them from the page and opens the wall over it, only after you click. If a site says it does not want a wall (policy "deny" in its manifest), Diazoma does not build one and tells you so. Diazoma never bypasses a login or a paywall. Privacy - Pictures and page contents are read in your browser and are not sent anywhere. - Recipe lists come from diazoma.app and are checked against a signature before use. A list that fails the check is ignored. - Anonymous usage counts (per recipe: pages opened, pages with no items, pages with failed pictures) are on by default and can be switched off in the settings. They never contain page addresses, item addresses or identifiers. - "Request a recipe" sends the address of the site (for example https://example.org) to diazoma.app, only when you click it. Permissions are small. Diazoma does not ask for access to all sites. A few museum and archive hosts are requested separately, from a button, when a recipe needs to fetch pictures that those hosts do not share with other sites. Open source (Apache-2.0), open spec: https://diazoma.app Privacy policy: https://diazoma.app/privacy/ (contact: privacy@diazoma.app) Documentation: https://diazoma.app/docs/extension/ ## Single purpose Show the items of the current website (pictures with titles and links) as a navigable wall. ## Permission justifications - activeTab: reads the current page (manifest link, items) only after you click the toolbar button, and starts the overlay on that page. - scripting: injects Diazoma's own bundled scripts into the active tab after that click. No remote code is loaded. - storage: keeps your settings, the downloaded recipe lists and the queue of anonymous usage counts on your device. - alarms: checks for list updates once a day and sends the queued usage counts every few hours. - Optional host permissions (not granted at install): the API and picture hosts of the six core recipes, requested from a button. They let the extension page fetch pictures from hosts that send no cross-origin headers (NASA, Cleveland Museum of Art). Full list is in the manifest. - No host permission for diazoma.app: its lists and endpoints send the cross-origin headers the extension needs. ## Data usage disclosures (dashboard answers) - Personally identifiable information: no. - Health, financial, authentication, personal communications, location, web history, user activity (clicks, keystrokes): no. - Website content: processed locally, not collected or transmitted. - Anonymous per-recipe counters are transmitted (not tied to a person). The user can turn this off. - Not sold, not used for unrelated purposes, not used for creditworthiness. ## Assets Icons 16/32/48/128: apps/extension/icons.
