ON-AIR Meeting Trigger
Overview
Detects Meet/Zoom/Teams/custom tabs and triggers a local/remote http/s service and/or an ON-AIR LED sign on your LAN and beyond.
ON-AIR Meeting Trigger — automatically show when you're in a meeting. Detects when Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom is open in your browser and sends simple ON / OFF signals to whatever you choose — an "ON AIR" light, an LED sign, a Home Assistant automation, a smart relay, or any local webhook. Local-first and private: no accounts, no telemetry, no third-party cloud. How it works Open a meeting → ON. Close it → OFF. Each change fires the targets you've set up. Trigger on any matching tab, or only the active one — and add your own custom meeting URLs. Outputs you can mix and match - Listener URL — ON/OFF events to a local script or automation bridge - Simple LED — for devices with /led/on and /led/off - HTTP Hook (universal) — GET/POST/PUT with custom headers and body; works with Home Assistant, Tasmota, Shelly, ESP devices, ntfy push notifications, and any HTTP-controlled service Works great with Home Assistant Flip an input_boolean, run automations, or drive an "ON AIR" indicator anywhere in your home — authenticated with a Long-Lived Access Token you provide. Private by design - No analytics, tracking, or telemetry - No data sent to the developer - Doesn't scan your network - Only contacts the endpoints you configure — every request is user-initiated Perfect if you work from home, run local IoT, and want automation without cloud lock-in. Open source (MIT) — code and docs on GitHub. Works on Chrome, Chromium, Ungoogled Chromium, and other Chromium-based browsers.
