Overview

Adds a Glide tab to GitHub pull requests: fast diffs, a file tree and review tools, powered by Pierre (@pierre/diffs).

Glide adds a Glide tab next to Files changed on GitHub pull requests. It shows the same pull request with a virtualized diff viewer and a file tree, powered by Pierre (@pierre/diffs and @pierre/trees), and keeps the GitHub review features you use. - Every changed file in one diff view, split or unified, with a file tree beside it. The diffs scroll with GitHub's page. - Looks like GitHub by default: GitHub's colors, fonts, file boxes and "N unmodified lines" rows, so it feels familiar from the first click. Pierre's other styles are one setting away. - File groups: tabs in the toolbar show one kind of file at a time (Source, Tests, Docs, Infra, Manifest, Artifacts), each with its file count. Edit the groups with gitignore-style patterns, or import them from Sift for GitHub. - Related files: lock files fold under their manifests, and serverless parts under serverless.yml. Open a related diff to read and comment; one Viewed checkbox covers the files together. Edit the rules or turn grouping off. - Comment on a line, a range of lines or a whole file. Write and Preview, and an Insert suggestion button. - Threads inline: reply, edit, delete your own comments, resolve and unresolve, react. - Pending review: submit as Comment, Approve or Request changes, or discard it. - Apply a suggestion, or a batch of suggestions, as a commit. - Viewed checkboxes stay in sync with GitHub, both ways. - Commit range picker and hide whitespace. - Display options (layout, themes, line wrapping, tree density and more) in the viewer and on the options page. - Optionally, Glide replaces GitHub's Files changed tab and opens wherever that page would. - An optional merged toolbar shows the pull request title in Glide instead of GitHub's separate sticky header. - A Refresh button appears when someone pushes to the pull request. Refresh keeps your drafts and open comment boxes. Reading a pull request needs no setup. To post comments, replies, reviews or reactions, Glide asks for a GitHub token (fine-grained or classic), which stays on your device and is only ever sent to api.github.com. Glide uses GitHub's own page endpoints, with your signed-in session, to apply suggestions and as a fallback to resolve threads and mark files viewed. GitHub does not document these, so they can change without notice; when one fails, Glide says so and you can do the action on GitHub instead. No analytics, no tracking, no third parties.
