SideDevTools brings everyday developer utilities into Chrome's side panel, right beside the page you are working on. Quickly switch between tools without opening extra tabs or leaving your workflow. Privacy comes first. Your work stays in your browser: SideDevTools has no tracking or telemetry, and your vault data is stored locally. Use tools on the page you are viewing, with no need to send your input to an external service. TOOLS FOR YOUR DAILY WORK • Create strong passwords and keep credentials in a local vault. • Generate two-factor codes and scan QR codes from a page or image. • Read QR and barcode codes with a drag-to-select region, then generate your own QR codes for links, WiFi, contacts or OTP. • Remove image backgrounds in your browser. • Convert documents into Markdown for your notes and projects. • Generate identifiers for development and testing. • Encode and decode common values, including web tokens. • Parse and convert dates and timestamps. • Format JSON and find syntax errors. • Create hashes to compare data and check file integrity. • Build color palettes, convert between HEX, RGB, HSL and OKLCH, sample colors from a page, and check text contrast for accessibility. • Test regular expressions with live highlighting, capture groups and a plain-English explanation of the pattern. • Inspect page metadata and preview social cards. • Create favicons and app icons from images. • Convert HTTP requests into code for your preferred client. • View and manage storage and cookies for the active tab. FILL TEST FORMS IN SECONDS Turn on the optional form filler and focus any input on a page: Command + double-click fills that field with realistic test data, Command + Shift + double-click fills the whole form. It recognizes emails, phone numbers, addresses, card numbers and 20+ other field kinds, and can be paused on any site. The form filler only runs while you enable it, and the data is generated on your device. MADE TO FIT YOUR WORKFLOW Search tools by name or tag, switch between them from the header, and pin favorites for quick access. Recent tools are easy to revisit. Dock the side panel on either side of Chrome and choose a light or dark theme. Open SideDevTools with Command+Shift+S on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows and Linux.
