Overview

Warns you when your computer is low on memory and helps you restart Chrome without losing your tabs.

RAM Nudge keeps an eye on your computer's free memory. When it runs low, you get one gentle notice, not a stream of alerts. From the toolbar: • Restart Chrome: one click copies chrome://restart and opens a new tab. Press Cmd/Ctrl+V, then Enter. Chrome comes back with your tabs. • Free memory now: puts your other tabs to sleep in one click, without closing them. • A small pebble on the toolbar changes color as memory gets tight, from calm green to a sweaty red. On install, RAM Nudge shows you how to turn on Chrome's "Continue where you left off" setting, so a restart brings your tabs back. Free and open source, from Particular Labs. It collects no data and sends nothing anywhere: everything stays on your computer. Source: https://github.com/particular-labs/ram-nudge
