Measure
Overview
Hover any element to see its margin, border, padding, content and size, right on the page.
Measure shows the box model of any element on a page, drawn right on top of it. Turn it on with Option+Shift+M (Alt+Shift+M on Windows and Linux) or by clicking the toolbar icon, then hover: - Margin, border, padding and content, each in its own colour, with each side's value on its band - The element's width and height, just above it - Flex and grid gaps, hatched, with their value - For an element placed absolutely or fixed, its top, right, bottom and left offsets to its containing block A scroll under a still pointer measures whatever is under it now. Escape turns it off and leaves nothing on the page. The overlay lives in its own layer, so the page's styles never change it and it never changes the page. Change the shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts; the options page shows the current key. Measure runs only on the tab where you turn it on, reads only the layout of what you hover, stores nothing and sends nothing anywhere. No account, no analytics, no network.
