DevUtil – JSON Formatter & Developer Tools
Overview
A local developer toolbox for formatting, converting, encoding, and generating data directly in your browser.
DevUtil is a fast, privacy-first developer toolbox that runs entirely inside a Chrome popup. Format and convert data without switching tabs or sending source code, tokens, payloads, or timestamps to an online service. Key features: - Convert JSON with YAML, TypeScript, Go, CSV, and XML in both directions. - Format, validate, repair, sort, beautify, minify, upload, and download JSON. - Explore JSON and XML with collapsible tree views. - Format and minify XML and SQL, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and SQL Server dialects. - Convert Unix timestamps in seconds, milliseconds, microseconds, and nanoseconds. - Use timezone-aware date conversion, batch timestamps, start/end ranges, and duration conversion. - Encode and decode Base64, Base64URL, and URL components. - Inspect JWT data locally without signature verification. - Encode and decode gRPC/Protobuf payloads, optionally using a `.proto` schema. - Create and compare bcrypt hashes locally. - Generate UUID v4, UUID v7, ULID, secure random strings, and passwords. - Choose light, dark, or system theme and restore non-sensitive work between sessions. Privacy by design: - No accounts, backend, analytics, ads, tracking, or telemetry. - No access to visited websites or browsing history. - Only the `storage` permission is requested. - JWTs, generated passwords, random strings, and bcrypt values are not persisted. Everything runs locally in your browser.
