DevRunner (Beta)
Overview
Store and run site-specific JavaScript automation snippets in the page main world. Beta build for early testing.
DevRunner is a lightweight developer extension that lets you save and run site-specific JavaScript snippets directly in the page’s main window context — the same place as the browser console, without the copy-paste grind. **The problem** During local development and QA you often repeat the same console tasks: clear `localStorage` / `sessionStorage`, click past auth modals, fill test forms, jump the app into a known state. Those one-liners get lost in chat logs, notes, or temporary console history. **What DevRunner does** Open the popup on any `http`/`https` page and you get a small deck of scripts for that hostname (e.g. `localhost`, staging, or an internal domain). One click runs a snippet in the page’s main world (`window`), so it can touch the same globals and DOM your app uses. You can also keep global utilities that appear on every site. **Why install it** • Stop retyping the same console macros every day • Keep scripts organized per domain, locally on your machine • Run in MAIN world — not an isolated extension sandbox • Export / import JSON to share a script deck with your team or sync machines • Keyboard shortcuts for your top three domain scripts (`Alt+Shift+1`–`3`) • No accounts, no cloud, no analytics — scripts stay in browser storage **Built for** Frontend developers, full-stack engineers, and QA testers who live on localhost and staging and want a personal “console deck” without building internal tooling. **Privacy** DevRunner does not send your code or browsing data to a server. Snippets are stored only in local extension storage unless you export a JSON file yourself. **Beta note** This is an early Unlisted/beta build. Feedback welcome; APIs and UI may still change before 1.0.
