DevModel: JSON to C#, TypeScript & SQL
Overview
Instantly format JSON and convert API payloads into C# classes/records, TypeScript interfaces, and PostgreSQL tables.
Turn any JSON into clean, ready-to-paste models without leaving the page you're on. DevModel spots JSON while you browse, whether it's an API response opened in a tab or an example payload in API documentation, and converts it into C# classes or records, TypeScript interfaces, or PostgreSQL CREATE TABLE statements in one click. WHERE IT WORKS • Raw API responses: open any JSON URL and a small "⚡ DevModel | C# | TS | SQL" toolbar appears in the corner. • Documentation pages: hover a JSON code block on GitHub, Swagger / OpenAPI pages or vendor API docs and click "Convert to Model". • Supported JSON tree viewers: hover the React JSON viewer used by many API testing tools and convert what it shows. • Grab from page: one click in the popup lists every piece of JSON on the current tab, including any text you've selected, and loads it into the converter. • Optional API capture: turn it on to also list the JSON responses the page itself fetched, with full values. Off by default. • The toolbar popup: paste any JSON into the Quick Converter, or load the built-in sample. WHAT YOU GET • A side panel with C#, TypeScript and PostgreSQL tabs, syntax highlighting, line numbers and one-click Copy Code. • Format / Pretty-Print for minified JSON responses, with one-click restore. • Named models for nested objects, never messy inline types. • Smart merging across array items: keys missing from some items become optional, keys that are sometimes null become nullable. • Real type inference: integers vs. decimals, 64-bit numbers, booleans and ISO 8601 dates (DateTimeOffset in C#, TIMESTAMPTZ in PostgreSQL). • Safe identifiers: keys like "user-id", "2fa_enabled" or "class" become valid names, C# keywords are escaped and reserved SQL words are quoted. C# • Positional records or classes with { get; set; }. • Nullable reference types and value types handled correctly. • Works with System.Text.Json. TYPESCRIPT • Exported interfaces or type aliases. • Optional (?) and nullable (| null) fields, and quoted keys where JSON keys aren't valid identifiers. POSTGRESQL • CREATE TABLE with inferred column types: TEXT, INTEGER, BIGINT, NUMERIC, BOOLEAN, TIMESTAMPTZ, JSONB and arrays. • Uses your "id" field as the primary key, or adds id SERIAL PRIMARY KEY. DEVMODEL PRO (one-time $9.99, lifetime) • C#: [JsonPropertyName] attributes with PascalCase property names. • TypeScript: Zod 4 schemas with z.infer types, including .int(), ISO date and date-time validation, .nullable() and .optional(). • PostgreSQL: normalized child tables with foreign keys and ON DELETE CASCADE. • Download generated code as .cs, .ts or .sql files. Each license works on up to 3 devices. Activate Pro once and it carries over to your other computers that use the same Chrome profile with sync turned on. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • All conversion runs locally in your browser. Your JSON is never uploaded anywhere. • No account, no analytics, no tracking. • The only network request DevModel makes is a license check with Gumroad, and only when you activate a purchased Pro key. • The in-page panel is isolated from the website's styles, and keystrokes in it are kept from reaching the page's keyboard shortcuts. • Turn page detection off at any time with the "Active on JSON pages" switch in the popup. • API capture is opt-in. When on, captured responses stay in that tab's memory only and are never stored or sent. SUPPORT Questions or bug reports: nijkanani.dev@gmail.com
