DevFeed

A minimal new tab for developer news: daily.dev, RSS feeds, a reader, favourites and weather.

DevFeed replaces your new tab page with a clean, keyboard-friendly developer news reader. Browse your feeds, explore posts, and read articles in a three-column layout or a full-width card grid. NEWS FEEDS - daily.dev: Browse personalized recommendations, popular posts, discussions, and bookmarks using the daily.dev Public API. A free personal access token is required. - RSS and Atom: Follow developer news from sources such as Hacker News, web.dev, GitHub Blog, Cloudflare Blog, and DEV. Enable additional feeds or add your own feed URL. READING EXPERIENCE - Read summaries and available full articles directly in the reading pane. - View article images, titles, summaries, and tags. - Load daily.dev comments when needed. - Track unread posts, filter unread items, and mark all posts as read. - Customize text size and zoom. - Switch between a three-column reader and a full-width card grid. KEYBOARD NAVIGATION - Use J and K to navigate between posts. - Press O to open an article and U to filter unread posts. - Use Ctrl+K to open the command menu for searching the web or navigating to feeds, favourites, and posts. - Press ? to view all keyboard shortcuts. CUSTOMIZE YOUR NEW TAB - Display a clock, greeting, and three-day weather forecast. - Organize favourite websites in a reorderable sidebar. - Choose between dark and light themes, multiple fonts, and an optional background image. - Adjust the reading experience to suit your preferences. PRIVACY Your settings, reading history, favourites, and daily.dev token are stored locally in your browser. DevFeed does not operate its own server or use tracking analytics. Your daily.dev token is sent only to the daily.dev API. Weather requests go to Open-Meteo using the location you select.
