# Chrome Web Store listing The short description is the `description` field in `manifest.json` (max 132 characters) and ships with the package. Everything below is entered manually in the Developer Dashboard (Store listing / Privacy practices tabs) — the store does not read it from the package. Keep this file in sync with the dashboard when features change. The dashboard description is plain text: copy the block below as-is (no markdown rendering). ## Detailed description ```text Dev.Expert: review GitHub pull requests faster, right in Chrome's side panel. KEY FEATURES • PR summary at a glance: lines added/removed, time since the last commit, and a per-commit breakdown • Review Activity timeline: commits, comments, reviews and inline threads in one place • Conversation status badges on every comment and thread, so unresolved or unanswered feedback stands out • Customizable bot and conversation status detection heuristics • Customizable conversation filters • Forced hidden conversations load • On-device AI (Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano) checks which feedback still needs a reply. Nothing is sent to an AI server. • Navigate to the previous/next open PR in the repository without leaving the panel • The next and previous PRs are prefetched in the background, so they open instantly • Instant reopen from a local cache. Refreshes only when the PR changes, with no background polling. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Runs only on github.com and talks only to GitHub's official API. No backend server. • Sign in with GitHub, use public repositories without signing in, or use a read-only fine-grained token • Your token stays on this device. Disconnect at any time. Open a pull request on GitHub and click the Dev.Expert button. Requires Chrome 116+. ``` ## Single purpose ```text Helps developers review GitHub pull requests by showing a PR summary, review activity and conversation status in Chrome's side panel. ``` ## Permission justifications | Permission | Justification | | --- | --- | | `sidePanel` | Shows the pull request review panel in Chrome's native side panel. | | `storage` | Stores user settings and the GitHub sign-in token locally on the device. | | `unlimitedStorage` | Caches pull request data (commits, comments, reviews, checks) in IndexedDB so previously viewed PRs open instantly and use less GitHub API quota. | | `alarms` | Schedules a daily prune of the local PR cache and resumes refreshing after a GitHub API rate limit resets. No periodic data polling. | | `https://github.com/*` | Injects the Dev.Expert button and comment badges on GitHub pull request pages. | | `https://api.github.com/*` | Reads pull request data from GitHub's official API. No other hosts are contacted. | | Remote code | No. All code is bundled in the package. | ## Data usage - Collects: authentication information (GitHub token) and website content (pull request data from GitHub), used only to provide the extension's features. - Data is stored locally and sent only to GitHub. It is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for anything unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
