The "DNS Prop Tool" will allow you to work on your website during propagation when you have made a recent DNS zone change. Now you will not have to wait several hours when you purchase a new domain to be able to work on your site. This tool gives clear instruction and has an easy interface to edit your HOSTS file. * Currently only supported with a Windows Operating System. Has been confirmed working on Linux with Fedora 20. I know it did not work with Fedora 18.
