Overview

Format JSON and SQL, decode Base64 and JWT, convert Unix time, and diff text — locally in a Chrome side panel.

Dev ToolBox Pro - Offline Developer Tools for Chrome Dev ToolBox Pro is a Chrome side panel extension for everyday developer text tasks. Format JSON and SQL, decode or encode data, convert Unix timestamps, compare JSON or SQL with diff highlighting, and work with developer text without leaving your browser. All processing happens locally inside the extension. Your input is not sent to a remote server. Whether you need a JSON formatter, SQL formatter, Base64 decoder, JWT decoder, URL decoder, Unix timestamp converter, or JSON/SQL diff tool, Dev ToolBox Pro keeps the workflow available in one Chrome side panel. FORMAT JSON AND SQL Format developer data without switching to another website or tool. You can pretty-print or minify JSON, format SQL, and let the tool automatically detect the language. It supports Trino/Presto as the default SQL dialect along with others supported by sql-formatter, allowing you to copy the formatted output in one click. JSON TOOLS Clean up and transform JSON directly in the browser by pretty-printing, minifying, or escaping and unescaping text as JSON strings. DECODE BASE64, JWT, URLS, AND UNICODE Decode commonly used developer formats from one interface, including Base64, JWT, URL encoding, and Unicode escapes. JWT decoding displays the header and payload for inspection. Important: Dev ToolBox Pro does not verify JWT signatures. JWT decoding is intended for inspecting token contents only. ENCODE TO BASE64 Convert text or developer data to Base64 directly inside the Chrome side panel. No external Base64 encoder website is required. CONVERT UNIX TIMESTAMPS Use the built-in Unix timestamp converter to translate epoch timestamps into readable date and time values. Dev ToolBox Pro can convert Unix timestamps to local time, UTC, or IANA timezones, with auto-detection for seconds, milliseconds, microseconds, and nanoseconds. This makes it useful for inspecting timestamps from APIs, logs, databases, events, and backend systems. DIFF JSON AND SQL Compare two JSON or SQL documents side by side. The Diff tool provides line-level highlights and semantic formatting when working with JSON or SQL. Use it to quickly inspect API responses, configuration changes, SQL queries, payloads, and structured data. BUILT-IN DEVELOPER EDITOR Dev ToolBox Pro includes editor features designed for repeated developer workflows. Features include find and replace, match counts, customizable editor themes, resizable split panels, locally persisted drafts, and quick-copy functionality. FORMAT SELECTED TEXT FROM ANY WEB PAGE Select text on a web page, right-click it, and choose: "Format with Dev ToolBox Pro". The selected text is sent directly into the extension side panel so you can format or inspect it without manually copying it between browser tabs. PRIVATE AND OFFLINEDev Tool Box Pro is designed for local developer workflows. Processing happens inside the extension, requiring no remote servers or network calls for supported text-processing operations. Your developer data stays in your browser and works completely offline. This is useful when working with API responses, JSON payloads, SQL queries, JWTs, encoded strings, timestamps, logs, configuration files, or other developer text that you do not want to send to an online formatter. ONE CHROME SIDE PANEL FOR COMMON DEVELOPER UTILITIES Instead of opening separate websites for formatting, decoding, inspecting, and comparing data, Dev ToolBox Pro keeps these utilities together. The extension bundles essential utilities, including formatters and minifiers for JSON and SQL, encoders and decoders for Base64 and URLs, a JWT inspector, a Unix timestamp converter, diff tools for JSON and SQL, and a robust find-and-replace editor. HOW DO I OPEN DEV TOOLBOX PRO? Click the Dev ToolBox Pro toolbar icon to open or close the Chrome side panel. WHO IS DEV TOOLBOX PRO FOR? Dev ToolBox Pro is built for developers, software engineers, data engineers, and anyone who frequently works with JSON, SQL, APIs, encoded text, JWTs, Unix timestamps, or structured data. If your development workflow regularly involves copying text into online formatters, decoders, timestamp converters, or diff websites, Dev ToolBox Pro brings those common utilities directly into Chrome. Format. Encode. Decode. Convert. Diff.Developer text tools, directly in your browser.
