Enterprise-managed one-tab detention lockdown for school Chromebooks.
Detention One-Tab Pro is a managed Chrome extension designed for schools using Google Workspace for Education. The extension enforces a strict one-tab browsing environment during a configurable detention period. If a student attempts to open a second tab or window, the unauthorized tab is closed and the attempted website is loaded in the active tab so that teachers can immediately see what the student tried to access. Key features: • Restricts students to a single browser tab • Automatically closes additional Chrome windows • Converts links that open in new tabs to open in the current tab • Overrides JavaScript pop-ups and window.open() calls • Activates only during administrator-defined times • Supports Google Admin managed settings via schema.json • Optional audit logging of bypass attempts • Detects whether the Securly Classroom extension is installed and enabled • No user interface or controls visible to students • Designed for force installation on managed Chromebooks This extension is intended solely for use by educational institutions on school-managed devices.
