DeSlopify for YouTube

Removes Shorts, Playables, topic recommendations, the up-next sidebar and AI prompts from YouTube. Each has its own toggle.

YouTube keeps offering you things you did not ask for: a Shorts feed, a games surface, topic blocks, an AI assistant. DeSlopify removes them from the interface rather than warning you about them. Six independent toggles, each in the toolbar popup: - Shorts — the homepage shelf, search results, channel tabs, sidebar entry - Playables — YouTube's games surface and its sidebar entry - Topic recommendations — "Explore more topics" blocks and their chip rows - AI features — the "Ask" assistant and AI video summaries, in the search bar, the action row, and the expanded description - The up-next sidebar beside a watch page (off by default) - The transcript block under a video (off by default) Your homepage feed and subscriptions are left alone. This removes the surfaces that suggest things at you, not the ones you chose. The transcript toggle is off by default and independent of everything else, because a transcript is an accessibility feature and should not disappear as a side effect of removing something unrelated. With the up-next sidebar off, the watch column is centred instead of left stranded against an empty gutter — unless a live chat or a playlist queue is present, in which case the normal two-column layout stays. If you open a Shorts link that came from somewhere else — a message, a bookmark — it opens in YouTube's ordinary player. Same video, standard controls. Playables URLs return you to the homepage. If there is a channel whose Shorts you actually want, open it and tick "Show Shorts on this channel" in the popup. That channel is left untouched and everywhere else stays clean. Exceptions are listed in the popup and can be cleared in one click.
