Overview

Hides Google's AI Overviews so you land straight on the results. No account, no tracking, nothing collected.

Google puts an AI summary at the top of your results. There's no setting to turn it off, because Google doesn't treat it as optional. Deslop turns it off. That's the whole product. You search, the summary isn't there, and the actual results start where they used to. WHAT IT DOES Removes the AI Overview block from Google Search. Keeps a count of how much slop it's taken out, if you want to look. Nothing else. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO No account, no sign-in, no sync. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting. It makes no network requests at all — not one, not even to check for updates. Nothing about your searches leaves your computer, because nothing about your searches is ever collected in the first place. It also leaves the rest of the page alone. Results, images, videos, the knowledge panel: all still there. One block goes and nothing else moves. WHY IT KEEPS WORKING Most tools like this break every few weeks, because they match on Google's CSS class names and Google rotates those constantly. This one doesn't look at class names. It finds the summary by its label — the words "AI Overview" as they actually appear on the page — and then works out the container around it from the page structure. Before it hides anything it checks that it isn't about to take a real search result with it. If it can't be sure, it leaves the page alone. A missed summary is an annoyance; a swallowed result is a broken page. The label is different in every language, and not in the way you'd guess. German is "Übersicht mit KI". Hindi is "AI जवाब", which means AI answer, not overview. Italian is served the English string. Each one was read off a live results page rather than translated. Eight languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Hindi. PERMISSIONS Google search pages and nothing else. 25 country domains, restricted to the /search path. It cannot see any other site you visit, because it was never given access to one.
