DemoSnap records a web-app workflow in Chrome and turns it into a step-by-step interactive demo that you export as an offline HTML file. Recording and editing happen in your browser. No account is needed to record, edit, or export. HOW IT WORKS 1. Record: click "Start Recording" and use the web app as usual. DemoSnap asks for permission for the site you record, then captures your clicks, text input, scrolling, and page navigation as snapshots of each page. 2. Steps: the recorded events are grouped into titled steps. 3. Edit: in the built-in editor you can rename steps, add descriptions, delete or reorder them, and re-record. 4. Play: each step shows the captured page with a highlighted spot where to click, so viewers follow along instead of watching a video. 5. Export: save the demo as an HTML file that plays in a browser without an internet connection and without installing anything. If a demo's assets are larger than 15 MiB, DemoSnap exports a zip (index.html plus an assets folder) instead. LOCAL-FIRST - Recordings are stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB). DemoSnap does not upload your recordings to its servers. - While you record, the extension may request the recorded page's own assets (such as stylesheets and images) from wherever that page loads them, so it can keep a self-contained copy on your device. - Exported files contain no network calls: the player allows no outgoing connections. - Scripts from the recorded page are removed before storage. SENSITIVE DATA - Fields recognised as sensitive (for example passwords, one-time codes, and card numbers) are not stored and show as bullet characters. Recognition uses a field's type, name, and label, so it has limits. Text typed into ordinary fields appears in the demo and the exported file, so avoid entering data you do not want to share. FREE AND PRO - Free: one saved demo. Exports carry a "Made with DemoSnap" badge. - Pro Lifetime: $49 one time, unlimited demos, no badge. Activating a license is optional and needs an internet connection; Pro licenses are re-checked daily. LIMITS - DemoSnap does not host or share links, and has no viewer analytics, video (MP4/GIF) export, or AI-written steps. It is a Chrome extension; other browsers are untested. - Complex pages can replay imperfectly (for example cross-origin frames are replaced with placeholders). PRIVACY - After you have used DemoSnap a couple of times, the popup may show a card with a link to an optional feedback page on our website.
