Overview
Protect every demo. Hide what shouldn't be on screen.
DemoGuards auto-blurs sensitive information on every web page so you can screen-share, demo, or record without leaking customer data. Install it once. From that moment on, every page you open is scanned in milliseconds for things that shouldn't be on a shared screen — and they're quietly blurred before you'd ever see them. Hover to read. Click to confirm. Share with confidence. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT GETS BLURRED, AUTOMATICALLY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Built-in detectors: • Customer and personal email addresses • Phone numbers (US + international formats) • Credit card numbers (validated with a Luhn check to cut false positives) • Social Security numbers (US format) • Dates of birth • JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) • API keys and access tokens from major cloud and developer platforms — including keys shown partially masked on dashboards (e.g. fc-4ac99•••32e25aa5) • Postal addresses, including city/state/ZIP lines • Social handles (@username) Optional smart detection (local heuristics you can turn on per profile): • Customer and personal names in greetings and salutations • Dollar and financial amounts • Common medical terms (diagnosis, prescription, dosage) • Confidential markers (CONFIDENTIAL, NDA, DO NOT SHARE) • Credential-style leaks like "password: …", "secret=…", "access_token=…" Plus anything you define yourself — internal codenames, account numbers, ticket IDs, project names, or any custom pattern. Detection runs entirely in your browser. Page text never leaves your device. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHO THIS IS FOR ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Sales engineers running live demos on real production data • Customer support agents screen-sharing customer accounts • Founders pitching investors with their actual dashboard open • Developers recording Loom walkthroughs of internal tools • Consultants showing work to clients without exposing other clients • Recruiters sharing applicant tracking systems on screen • Healthcare and fintech teams demoing software where PII is everywhere • Anyone who has ever pasted an API key into the wrong window If your job involves showing software to other humans, DemoGuards is the seatbelt you didn't know you needed. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FOUR PANIC TRIGGERS — FOR THE "OH NO" MOMENT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Sometimes something slips through. Maybe a colleague pastes a customer name into Slack right when you alt-tab over. Maybe a new modal pops up with data DemoGuards hasn't seen before. For that 1% case, you get four ways to nuke the whole screen in under a second: 1. Double-tap the Right Shift key — works on any tab, even when the popup is closed. Muscle memory you can train in 10 seconds. 2. Click the floating shield button in the corner of any page. 3. Click the DemoGuards icon in the toolbar → Panic blur. 4. Press Ctrl+Shift+H (Cmd+Shift+H on Mac). Don't like Right Shift? In the dashboard you can switch the keyboard trigger to double-tap Left Shift, triple-tap Shift, or a custom keyboard chord. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PER-SITE CONTROL ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ DemoGuards is on by default everywhere, but you're in charge. From the toolbar popup you can: • Pause protection on the current site with one click • Add trusted sites to an always-allow list • Toggle the floating shield widget on or off per site • See which protection profile is currently active Profiles let you tailor exactly what's blurred for different situations. Create and switch between them in the dashboard — each profile has its own detector settings and its own panic trigger. Settings sync across your devices when you sign in. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ CUSTOM REDACTION RULES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Built-in detectors cover the obvious things. The dashboard lets you add your own: • Internal project codenames ("Project Falcon") • Customer account number formats • Ticket IDs from your support tool • Anything matching a custom regular expression • Plain-text strings to always replace Rules sync to every device on your account. Add one rule once, every teammate is protected on every page they open. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This is the part most "privacy" extensions get backwards. We do not see your data, and the architecture makes it impossible for us to. • Page text is scanned entirely in your browser. Page content is never sent to our servers, ever. • Detection is pattern-based and transparent — there's no external AI model and nothing is uploaded for analysis. • The optional audit log records event counts and SHA-256 hashed domain names — never raw URLs, never matched content. • You can disable all reporting from the dashboard. Detection still works. • No third-party trackers, ad networks, or analytics scripts. Zero. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUILT FOR TEAMS AND ENTERPRISE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Deploy DemoGuards across your whole org with Chrome Enterprise managed policies: • Force-enable protection on every managed device • Lock the device token so users can't sign out • Pin a default blocking mode for unmatched domains • Roll out custom rules from a central dashboard • Audit redaction events by team and by domain The dashboard generates the policy JSON for you. Paste it into your MDM tool and you're deployed. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW IT'S DIFFERENT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Most "privacy" extensions block trackers or clean up ad junk. They do nothing for the moment you screen-share your inbox and your boss sees your therapist's confirmation email. DemoGuards is built specifically for live presentation safety: • It runs at page load, not after — sensitive data is blurred before it ever flickers on screen • It works on any page, including internal tools, staging sites, and SaaS dashboards it's never seen before • It handles complex single-page apps that load content dynamically, like web email, CRMs, and developer dashboards • It's invisible to your audience — they see a clean page, not a banner saying "this screen is being filtered" • The panic shield gives you a physical kill-switch when the unexpected happens ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRICING ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 14-day free trial on every plan. No credit card required to start. • Solo — $5/month — 1 seat, 3 protection profiles. For individual demo engineers and sellers. • Pro — $19/month — 5 seats, 25 profiles, custom redaction rules, add-on seats available. • Team — $49/month — 30 seats, unlimited profiles, shared team profiles & rules, audit log, and Chrome Enterprise managed policies.
