Demofy — demo videos from any page

One click on any page opens Demofy's create form with that page's URL already filled in. No account needed to start.

Demofy turns a web app into a narrated demo video. This extension is the shortcut: press the toolbar button on any page and Demofy's create form opens in a new tab with that page's address already filled in. That is all it does. It reads the address of the tab you clicked on, at the moment you click, and opens a Demofy page with it. It does not run on the pages you visit, it does not read what is on them, and it keeps nothing — there is no account, no login and no setting inside the extension. The permission, in plain terms. It asks for one: activeTab. Chrome grants that only when you click the button, only for the tab you clicked on, and takes it back as soon as you navigate away. It is the reason installing this shows you no permission warning at all. It does not ask to read your browsing history, and it does not ask for access to any site. What happens next is Demofy's. You land on the create form, where you write one line about what the demo should show, and Demofy films the app and narrates it. Demos are free to start — there is no signup wall.
