Democratic Website

Quick access to council meetings, documents, members, and civic engagement

Quick access to council meetings, documents, members, and civic engagement from the toolbar. Connect the extension to your council by entering its short name or website address. It then shows information from that council site only. Home shows what is coming up: the next meeting, active petitions, spending updates, and the latest news. Meetings lists upcoming and recorded meetings. You can filter by committee, open an agenda, add a meeting to your calendar, or set a reminder. Recorded meetings can be played when the council has published a recording. Search finds meetings, documents, councillors, and spending. If the council has the assistant switched on, you can also ask a question in plain English. Alerts lists recent council activity. You choose which notifications to receive, including new meetings, reminders, petitions, and news. Settings covers language, text size, contrast, colour theme, and the council the extension is connected to. You can switch council at any time. No account is needed to browse. Signing a petition uses your login on the council website.
