Record DemoBot demos from your own browser — your login, your network, your tabs.

DemoBot turns a simple script into a polished, narrated product demo video: AI voiceover, music, subtitles, smooth cursor movement, zooms, and captions, all rendered and hosted for you. Normally, DemoBot records your product on its own servers using an automated browser. The DemoBot Recorder extension moves that one step — the screen capture — into your own Chrome, and it changes what you can make demos of. Why record in your own browser? Some products simply can't be reached by a cloud-hosted browser, and those are often exactly the ones you need a demo of: - Apps running on localhost or a staging environment that never leaves your machine - Internal tools that sit behind a VPN or an office network - Sites protected by bot detection or aggressive firewalls that block automated browsers - Products where the interesting part only appears after you sign in — your real account, your real data, your real workspace With the DemoBot Recorder, the capture happens in a normal tab in your normal Chrome session: your login, your cookies, your network. If you can see it in your browser, DemoBot can record it. No test accounts to provision, no credentials to hand over, no allowlisting a recording server. What it actually does You prepare the tab — sign in, navigate to the starting page — then open the popup, pick one of your DemoBot scripts, and hit Record. The extension replays the script's steps in that tab exactly the way the DemoBot cloud recorder would: it finds each element on the page, moves a smooth on-screen cursor to it, clicks, types, scrolls, and waits for the page to respond, while capturing the tab as video. Captions and zoom effects are rendered live during the capture, so what you record is already presentation-quality footage. When the capture finishes, the raw video and a precise timing manifest are uploaded to DemoBot, and the cloud pipeline takes over from there — narration generated from your script, background music, subtitle tracks, per-step slicing and stitching, quality checks, and hosting on a streaming CDN. The end result is indistinguishable from a demo recorded on DemoBot's own servers; the only difference is where the pixels came from. Plan new demos on unreachable sites, too The extension isn't just for recording existing scripts. If DemoBot's cloud planner can't browse your site at all (localhost, VPN-only, hard bot walls), you can point the popup at the current tab and have DemoBot author a new script right there. The planning intelligence still runs in the DemoBot cloud — the extension just carries out its browsing in your tab and reports back what it sees. You follow along, answer its questions, and approve the result on the DemoBot app's live planning page, exactly like a normal planning run.
