Deluge Remote Modern
Overview
Control your Deluge BitTorrent client directly from Chrome. Secure, fast, Manifest V3 compliant, and fully open-source.
Deluge Remote Modern is a lightweight, open-source browser extension that lets you manage your Deluge BitTorrent client directly from your browser. This is a complete modern fork of the original Remote Deluge, fully updated for Google's Manifest V3 standards to ensure long-term support, security, and performance. Key Features Real-time monitoring — Instantly view torrent status, download/upload speeds, ETA, and ratios through a clean, modern popup. Complete control — Pause, resume, remove, or re-order torrents without leaving your current tab. One-click adding — Seamlessly send magnet links or .torrent file URLs to your Deluge server via context menus or automated link detection. Prowlarr integration — Search your private and public indexers directly from the popup. Filter by category, pick from your enabled indexers, and send results straight to Deluge — no need to leave the browser. Pagination, history, and saved indexer preferences included. Secure & private — Your Deluge password and Prowlarr API key are encrypted locally with AES-GCM (Web Crypto API) and, by default, never leave your device. An opt-in "sync credentials" mode is available for single-device users who want browser-account backup. Dark mode support — Full support for system-wide dark mode plus several built-in themes (Solarized, Nord, Dracula) and two icon packs for a comfortable viewing experience at any time of day. Pagination — Configurable torrents-per-page with an optional in-popup selector for fast-scrolling through large queues. Why Choose Deluge Remote Modern? Unlike older extensions, this version is built for the future of the web. The background service worker is optimized for Manifest V3, host permissions are scoped to your specific Deluge and Prowlarr servers (not <all_urls>), and zero telemetry or third-party services are involved. Your data goes from your browser to your servers — nothing else. What changed and why Added a Prowlarr bullet — substantial feature in v2.8.0, deserved its own line. Mentions filter, indexer picker, and history since those are real differentiators. Updated the security line — your old text said "stored in your browser's sync storage" which is no longer accurate after v2.8.1. The new text accurately describes the default (local) plus the opt-in (sync) without getting into technical detail. Also bumped "SubtleCrypto" to "Web Crypto API" since that's the actual spec name and reads cleaner to non-developers. Added the dark mode themes — you ship Solarized/Nord/Dracula plus two icon packs. Worth advertising. Stores reward feature-rich descriptions. Added a pagination bullet — also new (v2.5.0), genuinely useful for users with large torrent lists. Replaced "minimum permissions" with concrete claim — "scoped to your specific Deluge and Prowlarr servers" is more credible and verifiable than the generic "minimum permissions" claim. Reviewers and savvy users appreciate concrete claims. Added "zero telemetry" — strong privacy signal that matches what your PRIVACY.md actually says.
