Overview
Close other/collapsed groups, duplicate or ungrouped tabs. Collapse groups, apply auto-group rules, bind a shortcut to each action.
Tab Group Manager for Chrome lets you delete tab groups, ungroup tabs, close groups, archive tabs, sort tabs, remove duplicates, and group tabs by domain. Delete Tab Groups is a Chrome tab group manager. Close tab groups and the tabs inside them, ungroup tabs and keep pages open, archive grouped or ungrouped tabs, group tabs by website domain, sort tabs by title or domain, close duplicate tabs, collapse or expand groups, and bind a keyboard shortcut or toolbar click to each action. What you can do: • Close all groups and grouped tabs. Ungrouped tabs stay open. • Close other groups and keep the current tab group. • Close collapsed groups and the tabs inside them. • Remove all groups / ungroup. Tabs stay open as normal tabs. • Close tabs that are not in a group. • Close all tabs in the chosen scope. • Archive grouped tabs into a collapsed archive group. • Archive ungrouped tabs into a collapsed archive group. • Archive all tabs, grouped and ungrouped. • Group tabs by website domain (group by site). • Cluster / sort tabs by domain. This changes order only and does not create groups. • Sort tabs by page title. • Sort tab groups by name. • Apply auto-group rules you define. • Close duplicate tabs. Keep one tab per URL. • Collapse all tab groups. • Expand all tab groups. • Move the current tab to the front or to the end. • Move the current tab group to the front or to the end. • Run actions in the current window or all windows. • Bind the toolbar icon to one action instead of opening the popup. • Assign a keyboard shortcut to each action. • Optional: auto-ungroup new groups, auto-close duplicate tabs, and move the whole group when you move one tab. • Reopen recently active closed tabs. Enable this optional button at the end of the popup action list in Settings. It is unchecked by default. The default range is 30 minutes, configurable from 1 to 1440 minutes, based on when you last viewed each tab. Pages reopen in the current window; URLs already open are skipped. • Share a tab or tab group through an optional encrypted QR link. Choose an expiry and manage or revoke active shares. • Protect pinned tabs and chosen groups during cleanup, configure confirmation prompts, reorder popup actions, and choose language and appearance. Recovery records start with this update. They remain only on your device, with at most 500 closed records eligible for 24 hours. Incognito tabs, internal pages, local files, and URLs with embedded credentials are excluded. Recovery reopens URLs; it does not restore earlier closed tabs, forms, scroll position, or back/forward history. Hiding the recovery button does not stop local recording. No account is required. Optional encrypted sharing and minimized product events are described in the privacy policy.
