DEJA is a free Chrome extension that cleans up LinkedIn and X (Twitter) feeds by marking posts you've already seen — plus near-duplicates and engagement-template spam. THE PROBLEM Your feed repeats. The same "I turned down $X" LinkedIn post. The same engagement bait on X. Rewritten clones of yesterday's take. You waste attention re-reading loops. WHAT DEJA DOES As you scroll LinkedIn or X, DEJA builds a private, on-device memory of posts and quietly marks: • SEEN — exact or near-exact match to something you already scrolled • ECHO — paraphrased near-duplicate (simhash + token overlap) • PATTERN — structural engagement templates that keep recycling WHY INSTALL DEJA • Local by default — fingerprints stay in chrome.storage.local on your device • No account and no DEJA servers • Not another ChatGPT sidebar • Not a moralizing "AI detector" with fake confidence scores • Feed-only — ignores profile sections (experience, honors, interests) • Free forever for the core filter HOW IT WORKS 1.
