Your feed is built to keep you scrolling. Dehook hands the remote back to you. Tell Dehook what you would rather not see, and it disappears from YouTube and Reddit before it catches your eye. Not by matching keywords, but with a small AI model that actually reads the title and works out what it is about. Block "football" and Dehook also catches "Man Utd v Atleti: full match highlights", without you maintaining a single keyword list. The model runs inside your browser. Nothing you watch, block or filter ever leaves your machine. WHAT YOU CAN FILTER Topics. Name anything you (dis)like: politics, football, crypto, true crime, celebrity drama. Dehook understands the subject, not just the spelling. Languages. Tired of recommendations in languages you do not speak? Block them. Keywords and channels. For the cases where you want a blunt instrument. On YouTube: hide Shorts, hide music and mixes, hide the comment section, redirect the homepage straight to your subscriptions, and hide videos shorter than a length you choose. On Reddit: hide promoted posts, and filter on post title, subreddit and flair. Blocked content is blurred rather than ripped out, so the page does not jump around. Hover or click to reveal anything you actually want to see. HOW IT WORKS Dehook downloads a small language model on first run and keeps it in your browser. That download is around 2 GB and only happens once. After that everything is instant and works offline. Prefer to run your own stack? Dehook also talks to a local Ollama server if you have one. PRIVACY IS THE WHOLE POINT Dehook runs 100% on your machine. No cloud, no accounts, no tracking, no analytics. There is no server to send your browsing habits to, because there is no server.
