Overview

Check cruelty-free status while shopping. See animal-testing sources, filter results, and save suitable replacements.

Check cruelty-free status while you shop. Cruelty-Free Checker shows sourced animal-testing findings for the brand and its parent company, so you can make an informed purchase. On supported Amazon, Sephora, Ulta and Target product and search pages, see brand approval, documented testing concerns, disagreements or missing evidence. Brand and parent findings appear together on each result. Open the details for source links, scope and checked dates. The packaged database draws on published animal-testing records and independent cruelty-free reviews. Certification and independent reviews are labeled separately. The extension reports these sources; it does not certify products itself or claim affiliation with them. Brand and parent checks run across product categories. Retailer category names cannot suppress a source listing. Evidence coverage varies by source and brand; this is a packaged snapshot, not a live search of every directory. A missing listing does not prove animal testing. Animal-testing findings do not establish vegan ingredients, materials, farming practices or every other animal-welfare issue. Documented parent-company testing concerns are excluded from positive shopping results by default. This setting is enabled when upgrading to 2.1.0. A brand's approval stays visible even when its parent has a concern. Unknown ownership is clearly identified and does not erase brand approval. You can change the parent filter, require audited programmes only, and set an evidence-age limit. Use page and panel filters to compare positive results, concerns and missing evidence. Pending brand checks and unsuccessful lookups have separate messages. Missing Amazon card identities are checked automatically, with visible products first. Retailer layouts vary, so some identities remain unresolved. Find and save a replacement when the curated catalog has a suitable product for your category, country and criteria. An optional budget uses recent observed prices. The catalog is limited; check current price, stock, product details and delivery at the linked store. Assessments run locally against packaged evidence. Amazon product-page lookups omit account cookies and the referring search URL. Saved replacements and correction drafts stay on your device; preferences may sync through your browser account. No telemetry or remote AI verdict service is included. Preview a correction, download it or open an email draft; reports are never sent automatically.
