Compare APY across DeFi protocols, calculate staking rewards, and convert crypto amounts instantly. What it does. DeFi Yield Converter converts a crypto amount you highlight on any web page into fiat via an inline tooltip, and provides a full calculator in a Chrome side panel. A content script reads only your current text selection; the panel uses live rates from CoinGecko public price API. Key features (found in code): - Side-panel UI (`sidepanel.html`) opened via `chrome.sidePanel` (background.js:2) - Data source: CoinGecko public price API (`api.coingecko.com`, background.js:7) - Content script on `<all_urls>` reading only the current text selection (`content.js`) Who it's for. Traders and readers who often need to convert crypto amounts while browsing. No background data collection, no ads, no tracking, no account required.
