Track DeFi news, yield farming updates, and protocol governance in your side panel.

Track DeFi news, yield farming updates, and protocol governance in your side panel. What it does. DeFi Pulse Tracker aggregates cryptocurrency news headlines from public RSS feeds into a Chrome side panel, with search, filtering and favorites. Selecting text on a page and using the context menu filters the feed by that term. Only public feeds are read. Key features (found in code): - Side-panel UI (`sidepanel.html`) opened via `chrome.sidePanel` (background.js:186, background.js:203) - Right-click context-menu action "Search crypto news for "%s"" via `chrome.contextMenus` (background.js:175, background.js:197) - Data source: RSS-to-JSON service (proxies public crypto news RSS feeds) (`api.rss2json.com`, background.js:16) - Data source: CoinGecko public price API (`api.coingecko.com`, sidepanel.js:418) - Periodic background refresh via `chrome.alarms` (background.js:181, background.js:191) - Favorites/saved items, stored locally in `chrome.storage.local` (background.js:7) Who it's for. Anyone following the cryptocurrency market who wants headlines from multiple sources in one place. No background data collection, no ads, no tracking, no account required.
