DeeVec saves web pages you visit and lets you search them by meaning, not just keywords. Describe what you're looking for in your own words and get back the exact paragraph, with a link to where you read it. Think of it as Google for your browsing history. HOW IT WORKS 1. Capture pages as you browse. Click the toolbar icon to save any page, or enable auto-capture to save pages in the background as you read. 2. Search by meaning. Open the side panel and type what you're looking for in plain language. DeeVec finds matching paragraphs across all your saved pages, ranked by relevance. 3. Click through to the source. Every result links back to the original page. No summaries, no AI-generated answers, just the actual text you saved with a direct link to where it came from. WHAT YOU CAN CAPTURE - Full pages with one click from the toolbar - Text highlights via right-click context menu - Notes with a source URL for manual reference - Auto-capture in the background as you browse (Pro only, opt-in, off by default) SEARCH FEATURES - Semantic search: find content by meaning, not exact keywords - Hybrid search: combines meaning-based and keyword matching for better results - Search term highlighting in results - Per-document snippet grouping with relevance scores - Quick preview or click through to the original source ORGANIZE YOUR CONTENT - Create named collections to group related pages - Search across all collections or filter by one - Favorite important pages for quick access - Like individual snippets to mark what matters TWO STORAGE POOLS - Saved pages: your permanent library, stored until you delete them - Buffer pages: auto-captured content kept for 7 days, promote to saved with one click PRIVACY AND DATA DeeVec captures and stores the text content of web pages you save, along with the page URL and title. This data is sent to our servers for processing and stored in your personal account. Your data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or AI training. DeeVec includes a capture blocklist that prevents sensitive sites (banking, healthcare, password managers) from being saved, even accidentally. You can customize the blocklist at any time. PERMISSIONS DeeVec requests the following permissions: - Storage: save your settings and keep you signed in - Active Tab: read the current page when you click Capture - Side Panel: display search results in the Chrome side panel - Tabs: read page titles and URLs for capture - Context Menus: add "Capture with DeeVec" to the right-click menu - Web Navigation: detect page changes for auto-capture - Host permissions (optional): required for auto-capture to read page content across sites.
