Overview

Supercharge DeepSeek chat: search, folders, bookmarks, tone picker, token/context counters & PDF/JSON export.

Turn DeepSeek's chat window into a real workspace. DeepBlue adds the search, organization, export, and writing tools that DeepSeek's own interface leaves out — folders and search for your sidebar, bookmarks inside long conversations, live token and context-window tracking, one-click PDF/JSON/Markdown export, a reusable prompt library, and a tone picker for your outgoing messages. Everything runs locally in your browser: no account, no server, no sign-up. WHY DEEPBLUE DeepSeek chat is great for thinking, but once you have fifty conversations in the sidebar and a chat that's grown to two hundred messages, the stock interface stops helping. You can't search inside a conversation, there's no way to tell how close you are to the context limit until DeepSeek starts forgetting things, and getting a response out as a clean file means copy-pasting into another app. DeepBlue was built to fix exactly those gaps, without changing anything about how DeepSeek itself works — it's an overlay, not a replacement. ORGANIZE AND FIND ANYTHING 📁 Colored folders — Drag conversations into collapsible, color-coded folders in the sidebar so related chats (a project, a client, a topic) stay grouped instead of scrolling forever through one flat list. 🔎 Sidebar search — Filter the conversation list by title as you type, so finding an old chat takes a keystroke instead of a scroll. 🔍 In-chat search — A search bar with next/previous navigation that looks through the messages actually rendered on screen, so you can jump straight to the line you're looking for in a long back-and-forth. ⭐ Message bookmarks — Pin any message with one click and jump back to it later from a small floating icon, even after you've scrolled far past it. ⚡ Quick actions — Double-click a conversation title to open DeepSeek's own rename box, or double-click a message you sent to jump straight into DeepSeek's edit mode — no hunting for tiny icons. KNOW WHERE YOUR CONVERSATION STANDS 📊 Context meter — A live progress bar showing how much of the model's context window your conversation has used, so you see a limit approaching instead of finding out the hard way. 🔢 Token counter — Per-message token estimates, refined with the exact usage numbers DeepSeek's own backend already sends to your browser. ✏️ Character counter — A live character count under the composer as you type. ⏱️ Generation timer — See exactly how long each reply took to generate, useful for comparing models or just satisfying curiosity. EXPORT AND SHARE IN SECONDS 📄 Full conversation export — Download an entire chat as a formatted PDF, structured JSON, or plain text file from one button in the composer toolbar. 💬 Single-message export — Export just one exchange — the question and the answer — as its own PDF, JSON, or text file, ideal for sharing a single result without the rest of the conversation. 📋 Copy without markdown — Copy any response as clean, plain text instead of raw markdown symbols, so it pastes properly into an email, a doc, or a message. WRITE FASTER 📚 Prompt library — A searchable panel of reusable prompt snippets, launched from the composer toolbar. Comes pre-seeded with useful starting prompts, and you can add, edit, or delete your own — saved once, available in every conversation. 🎭 Tone selector — Pick a tone (or write your own) from a small chip next to the composer, and it's appended as a visible tag to your message before you send it — no more re-typing "explain this casually" or "keep this formal" every time. BUILT FOR PRIVACY DeepBlue only runs on chat.deepseek.com and doesn't talk to any server of its own. Folders, bookmarks, prompts, and tone presets are all stored in your browser's local storage — never uploaded anywhere. The only outside code it touches is a narrow, read-only script that reads the token-usage numbers DeepSeek's own page already receives, purely to power the context meter and token counter; it never sees your prompts, your responses, or any account data. Nothing is sold, shared, or used for anything beyond making the extension work. WHO IT'S FOR Anyone who lives in DeepSeek chat and outgrew the default interface: researchers organizing dozens of threads, developers who need exact token counts before hitting a context limit, writers who want a fast way to reuse their best prompts, and anyone who just wants their AI conversations searchable and exportable like a real document instead of trapped in a scrolling web page. GETTING STARTED Install DeepBlue, open chat.deepseek.com, and refresh the page. Folders and search appear in the sidebar immediately; the token counter, context meter, and export buttons show up around the composer and each message. No setup, no account, no configuration screens — it works from the first refresh. DeepBlue is an independent, unofficial extension for chat.deepseek.com and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DeepSeek.
