Overview

Study timer with methods, goals and statistics. Everything stays on your computer — no accounts, no servers, no tracking.

Deep Hour is a study timer that keeps everything on your own machine. No account. No sign-in. No servers. No analytics. The extension has no network permissions at all, so it cannot send your data anywhere — there is nowhere for it to go. Export everything whenever you like, and delete everything whenever you like. STUDY METHODS, NOT JUST ONE TIMER Seven are built in. Classic pomodoro — 25 minutes of focus, a 5 minute break, a longer break every fourth round. A 50/10 long pomodoro, closer to a school lesson. 90/20 deep work. 52/17. Flowtime, where you work until you naturally stop and the break length is worked out from how long you went. Animedoro. And Study and Recall, built for revision: 30 minutes learning, 10 minutes recalling it from memory, 5 minutes off. If none of them fit, build your own. Add phases, set their lengths, choose when a long break falls. It runs on the same engine as the built-in methods. A FOCUS TIMER THAT DOES NOT LOSE TIME The clock runs in the background, not in the popup. Close the popup, switch windows, or shut the laptop and come back after lunch — the timer will have moved on correctly instead of sitting on a negative number. Sessions record the minutes you actually focused, never an assumed round figure. GOALS, IF YOU WANT THEM Entirely optional and easy to skip. A daily focus target. A weekly session count. Hours on a particular subject. Or a countdown to a date that matters — an exam, a deadline. They report where you are. They do not scold you for missing one. STATISTICS WORTH OPENING When during the day you actually focus. Minutes per day against your target. Which subjects took your time. How your focus felt, session to session. A twelve-week consistency grid. Every chart has a plain table underneath it, so nothing is locked behind a hover. OPTIONAL TIME TRACKING Off unless you switch it on, and you are asked during setup. If you do turn it on, Deep Hour records site names only, never the page, the path, or anything you typed. It stays on your computer. Sort sites into study, neutral or distracting and see the honest split. Switching it on asks Chrome for one extra permission. Switching it off hands that permission back. MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES Short lines from famous thinkers and learners such as yourself. WHAT IT CANNOT DO It has no host permissions, so it cannot read or change any page you visit. It makes no network requests of any kind. It does not sync between devices, because that would mean your data leaving this machine.
