Overview

Capture console errors, network failures, user actions, screenshots, and debugging context in one local session.

DebugPilot is a local web debugging recorder for developers, QA engineers, and technical support teams. Start a debug session on the page you want to inspect and DebugPilot captures debugging evidence in one local session, helping you move from “something went wrong” to a structured issue context. Core features: • Console errors and browser warnings • JavaScript runtime exceptions with source, line, column, and stack context • Network request metadata, failures, and slow requests • Issues Only view for focusing on detected problems • Semantic DOM click context for buttons, links, inputs, and other page elements • Precise Canvas/WebGL click coordinates and relative position • Nearby user actions and error context • Automatic screenshot evidence around detected errors • First-party and third-party request classification • Local session history • Copy Context for sharing a focused debugging package • Export Issue as a standalone offline HTML report • Full session HTML reports for offline review Issue packages can include the related user action, stack trace, timeline context, console context, network context, and screenshot evidence, while avoiding unrelated session noise. Privacy by design: DebugPilot works locally on your device. Debugging data is not automatically uploaded to the developer or third parties. Request bodies, response bodies, cookie contents, authorization data, full request headers, passwords, structured form values, and clipboard contents are not collected. URLs included in shared or exported reports have query values redacted. Screenshots may contain content that is visible on the page while debugging. Recording only starts after you explicitly start a debug session for the selected browser tab. *** WHAT'S NEW *** Version 1.5.0 - Added automatic action capture with no separate arming step. - The Actions report now connects user actions with nearby HTTP requests, WebSocket activity, runtime issues, and navigation events. - Added HTTP and WebSocket request and response data. - Added support for JSON, text, form data, binary previews, and safe best-effort Protobuf decoding. - Improved WebSocket connection identification, request-response pairing, and background traffic classification. - Improved Function Trace, Call Stack, and Source Preview. - Improved live report updates, session cleanup, safety limits, and overall stability. - All data remains stored locally, with no additional permissions. Version 1.4.0 • Added Advanced Deep Trace for tracing JavaScript function calls • Added real call stacks with source URL, line, and column information • Added built-in Source Preview for inspecting code without interrupting recording • Added Deep Trace directly inside DebugPilot reports • Simplified the interface with unified Start and Stop controls • Added per-site recent Trace Targets for faster repeated debugging • Improved trace safety, stack completeness, performance protection, and source-location accuracy Version 1.3.0 • Added recording guardrails for long debugging sessions • Sessions now stop automatically after the 2-hour recording limit • Added clear warnings when Console, Network, or Timeline recording limits are reached • Preserved existing evidence instead of silently replacing older records • Added estimated session size tracking with a 200 MB safety limit • Screenshot capture now pauses safely at its 100 MB limit while other recording continues • Added clearer stop reasons and recording integrity information to reports and history • Improved session recovery and local evidence storage reliability Version 1.2.1 • Improved semantic click context for modern web interfaces • Added clearer labels for clicked buttons, links, and other controls • Preserved full URL parameters for complete debugging evidence • Improved menu and container label handling • Updated privacy disclosures for full-fidelity debugging Version 1.2 • Added Copy Context for individual issues • Added standalone Export Issue reports • Added semantic click context for buttons, links, inputs, and other DOM elements • Preserved precise coordinate context for Canvas and WebGL applications • Improved privacy redaction in shared and exported reports • Improved Timeline, Network, and Error Context readability Version 1.1 • Added Issues Only view • Improved JavaScript runtime exception detection and stack context • Added handled-later detection for Promise rejections • Improved error deduplication across Console, Runtime, Browser, and Network events • Added browser warning and error classification • Improved Console and Network report readability
