Overview
Values the item on a web page: identifies it from its photos and prices it from recent sold listings and current ads.
DealWorm estimates what an item for sale on a web page is worth, using its photos and real sales. Click the toolbar icon on a listing or product page (for example Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist or a store's product page) and a side panel opens. It: • reads the item from the page: title, asking price, description and photos, plus a screenshot of the visible tab • has Claude, Anthropic's AI model, identify the exact item from the photos. It reads model and part numbers from labels and close-ups, and it leaves the model blank rather than guess one it can't read • finds recent sold listings on eBay in your country (United States, Canada, United Kingdom or Australia), or near your ZIP code if you set one • checks each sale's photo against yours and searches the web for current listings. Anything the searches didn't actually return is dropped • works out a quick-sale, fair and top-end price from that evidence with fixed rules: the latest sales count most, and older ones are adjusted for how prices have moved since. It shows which rule it used, how many sales it counted, the last sale and the trend. When there isn't enough evidence, it says so instead of guessing Every valuation is saved in your browser with its page. Reopen the page to see the result again at no cost, or re-check later to see what changed. You can track an item's price daily, add status, asking price, tags and notes, group items into lists, keep buyer profiles, and copy a message or download a catalog or CSV to send to a buyer. "Find buyers" researches who buys this kind of item, with a link to the evidence for each, and "Scrap & lot value" estimates the metal value of a box or bin of mixed items. WHAT IT COSTS Installing is free. Without the AI you still get sold listings, price trends and links to search other marketplaces. The AI steps (identifying the item, matching sale photos, web searches) cost money, paid one of two ways: • Credits: sign in with Google and buy a credit pack of $5, $10 or $20 (USD, by card through Stripe). Each check uses a little credit, usually a few cents, and the panel shows exactly what each one cost. New accounts get a one-time $0.25 free trial, once per email address. Credit doesn't expire and requests that fail aren't charged. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining credit. Credits are sold by the developer of DealWorm, not by Google. • Your own Anthropic API key: Anthropic bills you directly at its own prices, and nothing is paid to us. The panel shows what each check cost. Viewing a saved result is free. YOUR DATA The extension reads only the pages you ask it to value, when you click its icon or its right-click menu. To value an item it sends the page's address, text, photos and a screenshot to Anthropic. With credits these go through our server, which passes them on without storing them. Your search words (and your ZIP code, if you set one) go to eBay to find sales. With credits we also keep your Google account email, your balance and your purchase and charge history. Saved items, buyers and lists stay in your browser. Optional photo access (in Settings) lets the extension download photos itself on sites that block outside downloads; you can remove it at any time.
