Deadline Dog — Dates to Calendar

Finds dates and deadlines on any webpage (great for AI conference pages) and adds them to your calendar.

Deadline Dog finds deadlines on webpages and turns them into calendar events in just a couple of clicks. It is especially useful for academic and AI conference pages, where important dates are often scattered across tables, lists, and paragraphs. HOW IT WORKS When Deadline Dog detects relevant dates, a small dog mascot appears on the page. Click the extension icon or select “Show me” to open the side panel and review what it found. The extension identifies common deadline types, including: • Abstract submissions • Paper submissions • Rebuttal periods • Acceptance notifications • Camera-ready deadlines • Registration deadlines • Conference dates Dates are grouped by conference, so they are easier to review. Before saving, you can edit the event title, date, time, and time zone. You can then: • Add the event to Google Calendar using a prefilled tab and your existing Google session • Download an .ics file for Apple Calendar, Outlook, or another calendar app • Include optional reminders for one day and one week before the deadline BUILT FOR DEADLINE PAGES Deadline Dog understands Anywhere on Earth (AoE), UTC offsets, and commonly used time zones. It can find dates in tables, lists, paragraphs, and structured webpage data. It also recognizes several date formats and languages, including: • English • Japanese, such as 2026年5月15日 • Spanish, such as 15 de mayo de 2026 To avoid unnecessary interruptions, the extension only activates when a page clearly appears to contain deadlines or important dates. It stays quiet on search results, email, and social media feeds, although you can use “Scan anyway” whenever needed. Detected dates can also be highlighted directly on the page, and dark mode is supported. PRIVATE BY DESIGN All date detection happens locally in your browser. The content of the pages you visit is never uploaded or sent to an external service. • No account or sign-up • No tracking • No analytics • No page-content uploads Deadline Dog only requests the permissions needed to scan pages locally, display the side panel, save your preferences and tracked deadlines, and update the countdown badge. The mascot can be moved, minimized, muted, or disabled completely.
