Dead Pixel Test turns your entire screen into a solid block of color so defective pixels have nowhere to hide. A pixel that stays black on every color is dead. A pixel frozen on red, green, or blue is stuck — and stuck pixels can often be revived for free. WHY YOU'D WANT THIS • Just bought a monitor, laptop, or TV? Test it while you're still inside the return window. Most retailers give you 14–30 days — a defect found on day 3 is a free replacement, found on day 40 it's a warranty argument. • Buying second-hand? Run the test before you hand over money. It takes one click. • Spotted a suspicious dot? Find out in seconds whether it's a dead pixel, a stuck pixel, or just dust (they look almost identical — the test tells them apart). HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the icon and hit "Start full test" — your screen goes fullscreen black. 2. Click or use arrow keys to step through 7 test colors: black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, and gray. 3. Scan the whole screen on each color. Any dot that doesn't match the background is a pixel defect. Each color catches a different fault: white reveals dead (dark) pixels, black reveals stuck (lit) pixels, and red/green/blue isolate each sub-pixel so you can tell exactly which one failed. Gray checks panel uniformity.
