De-Sponsor for Amazon: Hide Ads & Sponsored Results
Overview
Restores the 'Day 1' clean search experience on Amazon by hiding sponsored results. Private & Local.
Make Amazon Search Useful Again. Amazon search is drowning in ads. As an ex-Amazonian, I was taught to have a "Bias for Action". So, I decided to fix it. The Story: After a viral discussion on LinkedIn confirmed that thousands of users are tired of scrolling past rows of "Sponsored" clutter, I built De-Sponsor to bring back the clean, organic shopping experience we used to love. What De-Sponsor for Amazon Does: Restores the "Day 1" View: automatically detects and hides "Sponsored" tiles in search results. Declutters the Grid: Removes large banner ads and "Brand Story" interruptions. Pure Organic Results: Helps you find the best-rated products, not just the ones that paid to be seen. Privacy First (Really): - No Data Collection: Your search history never leaves your device. - No Affiliate Stuffing: I do not inject affiliate links. - Lightweight: Runs silently in the background without slowing down Chrome. De-Sponsor is a free, community-driven project. If you find a bug or a missed ad, you can report it directly through the extension. Disclaimer: This extension is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of Amazon.com, Inc.
